Very well done

Very good! Definitely has an "eastern" feel to it. Tell me, what scale did you use? It doesn't sound like a natural Sen scale.

Good.

Very good. The woodwinds all work very well together. The basic chords starting around :25 are maybe a little simple to be such" backing" unaccented chords, but nothing technically wrong with them. When the Tambourine (I think) comes in, as well as the strings in their part, it all flows very nicely. Nice progression, nice tonality, good dynamics. All in all, well done!

Epic

Very well done. Very "epic" sounding in a way, as well. I can hear what may be a few missed notes in the melody (the harmony sounds practically perfect). I enjoy a tasteful dissonance as much as the next composer, but some just sounded, well, off. But, besides that, wonderfully done.

Ironclover responds:

I'm really happy that you enjoyed it, I really love my COH Theme and I enjoy just using it in all my COH music, as well as composing something new and exciting. If you could check out the rest of my collection I'd appreciate it. :)

Very good

Simple, but elegant. A true wonderful sounding work of music. I can definitely see it being used as a theme for practically anything. A very general sense and broad range. Not to mention perfect play between the hands, the dynamic, and even the varying tempo. My only qualm would be that the exit part (around 1:06) comes somewhat suddenly, almost sounding like a skip in a record. However, this may be more of an audio glitch than anything.

Sheodon responds:

Thank you! It is really appreciated that you enjoyed and like my song. I'm glad you felt the atmosphere created by the dynamism, thankfully to the changing, varying of the tempo. I also realized the 1:06 part, but because a few of my musics (if I remember well, the other one is Legenda Piano version) also has an "audio glitch" and they were recorded the same time (even if it's a remastered version with new sounding instruments), it can be a glitch of converting software.

Thanks for the review, it was really useful, and I'm really happy for your comment. It's good to see how people enjoy my works (Getting 3 10 point review a day is something unique for me). So, thanks guys.

Good

Very modern sounding. Very fitting with the description as well, perhaps a great art piece. Maybe tone down the dynamic on the first part Left hand (Bass). It's a little heavy, I think the accents are a great touch and in the right place, but it can overwhealm the melody at times. Good simple but fitting ending as well.

WingoWinston responds:

I think nearly every critic of my piece has mentioned the overwhelming left hand. I suppose if it was played at more of a forte than fortissimo it would balance the piece out a bit more but I really wanted people to hear the heavy accents on the left hand. I'll keep this in mind for future pieces though! Thanks for the review! :)

Enjoyable

Very subtle, very emotional, very well done. Congrats.

MrMusicalLion responds:

Thankyou :)

Fairly well done

It's good. And I know exactly what you mean by how hard it is to make the trumpet not sound cheesy. No easy feat indeed.

Very good

I like, it definitely has that "epic" sound to it. And I dare say that the story that it follows it fits very well as well. Well done!

Never thought I'd say it...

Wow! As others have said, I'm usually not a big fan of "electronic" classical music, but this is fantastic! I can really hear the classical sound, and it definitely has that air of "mad scientist" at work. I like!

Impressed!

I very much enjoyed it! The rhythm is almost latin sounding in the beginning, especially the piano part. It's very modern sounding without losing touch with the technical part of it's "classical" sound. Strings are also very well done. Odd progressions but well chosen for the rhythm an sound. I'm very impressed!

My name is John Johnson (Yes, seriously) and I'm here to hopefully spread my music around and, most importantly, get some honest feedback on it. So, if anyone out there wants to comment, feel free. Though, if it's negative (which is fine) keep it clean.
